Wings and Wheels, sponsored by The Hagerstown Aviation Museum, was held on Sept. 22, 2012, under perfect weather conditions.
The EAA chapters kitchen sold out on breakfasts and lunches and a few members even went out for more supplies.
The Y.E.'s flew from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm with a grand total of 78 youngsters flown by 3 aircraft. We had to stop sign ups about 1:00 when the schedule for the planes on hand filled up. Two other planes I had hoped would show didn't make it.
To our EAA members;
Koodoos for a great job on the kitchen and Y.E's. detail! You all pitched together again to make it work and be a success.
To all those who came to set up and stayed to clean up, a BIG THANK YOU from me, Sandy and Joe Pierce.
Joe was instrumental in taking charge of the Kitchen detail, getting all our things Friday from the hangar and storage area for setting up and hauling it all back Saturday after the event.
I'd also like to say thanks to my right hand helper and wife, Sandy, for her help with pulling the EAA's part all together and taking charge of the Y.E's sign up table. I couldn't do it with out her!
Again, Thanks to all, it was a grand event.
Mark Hissey President EAA Chapter 36.
